Accounting
At La Roche University you'll gain the skills and analytical techniques that you need to succeed as an accounting professional.
The accounting major explores current principles and practices. The program also prepares you to meet the educational requirements for two certifications: Pennsylvania Certified Public Accountant and Certified Management Accountant.
Expert Faculty
Faculty includes industry experts who hold advanced degrees and have experience in both public accounting and private industry. Instructors come from various backgrounds, including those who specialize in specific areas such as tax and government auditing.
Academic Organizations
Through the Student Accounting Association, you’ll receive the resources and leadership skills that you need to succeed in the world of business. The club is open to all students with an interest in accounting or accounting majors.
What Can You Do With Your Degree?
This major is designed to prepare you for careers in:

The program also positions you for graduate study in accounting, business or public administration.

Sister Mary Joan Coultas and Sister Mary Thomas Kadyszewski Endowed Scholarship
Applicants must be full-time or part-time undergraduates or graduate students currently enrolled and majoring in math, business administration or accounting at La Roche.
- Preference is given to students who have the greatest need for financial assistance and the greatest potential to succeed.
- Applicants must maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA and remain in good academic standing during the award term.
- Essay and two letters of recommendation are required. Renewable award.
Stanley J. Michalek Memorial Endowed Scholarship
This annual award is made to a currently enrolled full-time undergraduate student with 90 or more credits majoring in management.

- Preference is also given to students showing extracurricular activities or work part-time
- Minimum 3.0 GPA
- Essay and two letters of recommendation are required
- Non-renewable award
Charles and Ruth Mlinac Endowed ScholarshipApplicants must be currently enrolled, majoring in math, business administration or accounting at La Roche.
- Preference is given to students who have the greatest need for financial assistance and the greatest potential to succeed
- Preference also given to students who are veterans of the U.S. military
- Applicants must maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA and remain in good academic standing during the award term
- Essay and two letters of recommendation are required
- Renewable award
